'Mummers' is the word in Philly for Bacon brothers

2009
The Philadelphia natives spent Wednesday in a recording studio, remixing "New Year's Day," the title track from their sixth album.
Representatives from the Philadelphia Mummers Association's 16 string bands added their saxophones, banjos, accordions and glockenspiels to the special version of the new single. Proceeds from sales of the CD will benefit the Mummers, who are struggling to maintain the city's 108-year-old tradition of strutting up Broad Street on New Year's Day.
